Some digital impressionism applied to concept art again. Just as the Ari concept I painted this on October 2010!! as concept art for Evil Spell, a game developed by Dark Ride Studios. The game didn't make it finally and it wasn't finished. So I'm allowed to post the images I painted for them finally and sell them as prints :)

Character: He had to be an evil character, tortured by his past and the loss of his woman. He was an alchemist and had developed some kind of crystal to travel through time and he was kind of immortal due to the crystals embedded in his body. They wanted him to have half of the face disfigured and with crystals on it.

Done in about 5 days and also the time of pre-production taking pics as reference. (now I'm much faster even with realistic stuff! lol) Yes! .. I also took pics of myself for the pose and clothes. For the face I looked at thousands of pics but especially Ben Barnes and Hayden Christensen. Everything painted with Photoshop CS4 + wacom Graphire 4

Meh.. the proportions look weird but well :/

This is wonderful! I feel strange giving an artist like you a suggestion, but IMO this would be a more powerful image if there was less background - the character would be much more 'in your face' and intense.

I love all of your work though this isn't usually my favorite type of art :deviation:

but isnt it still someone elses idea? i go to art school, and we learn alot about plagarism and such. but i guess if you posted and arent passing off as ur own, you are fine. and man, this wulda seemed to hav been an awesum game. or at least an anime!
anyway AMAZIINGGGGG painting@ im enrolled in a concept visual development class this semester, sooo excited! just not creative :I
pretty good with painting realism...just dont kno what to do with it.. lol
what inspiration this is!!!

What? Someone else's idea? I was hired to do this as concept art, but that game wasn't finally done, so they told me I was free to use it and do whatever I want with it. No plagiarism at all :)
