Back to landscapes for a while

So, I wanted to paint a castle lost in time and space. Some kind of oriental and occidental mixture in architecture. The first sunlights are touching the temple walls as the village awakes. As a village, there is a central temple and the slums with poor families placed all around it. On the left I tried to paint some sort of market.

As usual, around 6000x9000px to be printed at 60x90cm. About 55hours to achieve all detail when printed at that size.

Everything painted in Photoshop. Textures used from www.cgtextures.com, especially the ones from Jonas de Ro, and www.sxc.hu.

I'm impressed. I love all types of landscapes, but my favorites have to be ones that look like they were carved out of their environment like the small bridge that leads into the mountain.
