I wanted to show another take on colossus. He's supposed to be a sweet giant colossus who just needs love (just like everyone does). But people is afraid of him. His body is divided in two: green nature with waterfalls and trees, and the darker side with the volcano. He's staring at the castle with curiosity but also with sorrow, since people will always run away from him and try to kill him for being what it is. Deep thoughts on this one :)

Painted in about 35 hours in Photoshop CS4. Huge canvas as always (around 6500x10000px at 300dpi). Textures used from www.cgtextures.com and sxc.hu.

I like the backstory on this one, and the idea that we all have the capacity to be something beautiful and something ugly, but ultimately we all still need love.

La mayoría de los otros "colosos" que he visto están inspirados, o son homenajes, al videojuego "Shadow of the Colossus".
Pero esto... esto ES OTRA COSA.
